Coming up we have a gig hosted by Collaborate and Listen and Unite the Union, aiming to bring together punks to Save Our Steel, raising awareness of the threat to this vital Scunthorpe industry. There are 7 bands, a market and retro games, & free entry for Unite members

 The money will be spent paying expenses for the bands, and will donate half to Cafe Indie which provides a vital youth service for local people. At the moment, bands get a portion of door takings which means they play for free or even at a loss, so even a small amount of money would go a long way to supporting their development.

 The hosts, Cafe INDIE, has a great program to help young people gain confidence and work skills, as well as make friendships and have a place to hang out. We love this space for our gigs and this money would enable us to continue building the DIY punk community in Scunthorpe, in a time when the music industry is dominated by big figure and small bands struggle. This event brings together a great community asset and an industry that desperately needs more grass roots support.
